Chambord

Wow! I do not know what to say about Chambord. All though the theory is that Francois 1 and Da Vinci put their brains together and created this magnificent castle. It's very, very, very, very large, and the roofs are amazing, and personally I think that it's a little over done! Anyways, it was fun to see, and afterward we rented a little row boat and went out around the moat/rive/body of water just sitting next to the castle. It was super fun! The hotel that we were staying at was literally right across the street from the castle. We could not have beed closer!

Here are some photos:

  3. Those castle's are pretty impressive and it looks like you are having a great time learning about all the French history and culture. However, the most important thing in France are the French pastries! You have had 0 updates on your run ins with all the delicious pastries I am sure you have been eating. How have they been? Which ones are your favorite?
That being said I think a new mission is in order: four pastry per day. Meeting this quota should be of the up most importance and drastic measures should be taken to ensure that it is met! Besides the delicious "cultural" benefits I have done extensive research, in a libratory with a white lab coat on and a counter covered in beakers, graduated cylinders and Bunsen Burners, and the results show that the more pastries you eat the happier you will be, thus diminishing any symptoms of home sickness!
    Happy eating,
    Eric
