Yesterday we went to Versailles. Bad idea. Yes it was amazing to be at Versailles, but we went in the middle of all of France's Spring Break, and on a Tuesday (The day the The Louvre and D'Orsay are closed). And I wasn't feeling well at all! We had been advised to go into the Gardens first, and then in the later afternoon, go into that Palace. We did. The line to get in was still crazy, but i moved surprisingly quickly. We got inside, got our audio guides, then walked upstairs to an amazing room! There was a huge painting that covered the whole celling with a really cool perspective. Then we saw the door moving on to the next room...
COMPLETELY PACKED! Shoulder to shoulder, hip to hip, everyone breathing on each other. It was absolutely maddening! The only way to get out of it was to go through it! everyone was pouching each other, and oh! I don't even want to thick about. It was like that throughout the whole rest of the palace, and we didn't get to see all of it! So it was not the best day of our trip...By far!
